Six Continents Hotels appoints Gordon R. Watkins as Vice President, Development for Western U.S.
In this region, Watkins will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development for all of Six Continents Hotels brands, including Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Staybridge Suites brands. Based in Phoenix, he will head the team of franchise sales personnel and developers in the region.
Gordon brings to Six Continents Hotels a strong, balanced background of hospitality industry experience, said Jon Kurnit, senior vice president, Development and Asset Management, Six Continents Hotels, The Americas. He brings to us a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Prior to joining Six Continents Hotels, Watkins held several senior positions in investment banking and hotel development with Tishman Hotel Corporation, Deloitte & Touche LLP and The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. His most recent position was senior vice president of the Investment Banking Group for Tishman Hotel Corporation, where he was responsible for business development and the execution of hotel investment banking assignments for principal and third-party client transactions.
